WHAT ABOUT US?

It is high time we realize that the fate and destiny of not just mankind, but of all species lies in our hands. Seeing that that is the case, what will be of the birds that cannot speak, or the fish that have no government to fight for them? Should the trees form an alliance and march on our streets? If only they could…

If we truly know that our actions and inactions affect the entire earth, and that many ‘voiceless’ count on our voices to take a stand and protect them, why do we do little or nothing? Why do we pay lip-service but neither commit or hearts or resources to a better world for all? Why does the quest for wealth, money and endless accumulation consume us so much even to the detriment of life? Have we become so selfish that we refuse to provide the place and time and space for evolution and growth even on the planet that feeds on? Isn’t it this same earth that we call home and grow our food and live our lives?

The video below speaks to my heart so much, and I am sure you will be touched too. This is simply one of many such cases. We could go on and on about bees and butterflies and our fishes.

So, I ask on behalf of the birds and every other species, WHAT ABOUT US? WHAT ABOUT US? WHAT ABOUT US?
